Question about determining chemical reaction products

Post by defaultworks »

The chemical equation I'm given shows as:
KClO3 + HNO3 + AgNO3 =
Products are not given.

I'm not quite sure how to work yet with reactions having 3 reactants. My attempted answer is KClO3 + HNO3 + AgNO3 = KNO3 + AgCl + HClO3. I assumed that KNO3 and HClO3 are aqueous while AgCl is the solid precipitate.
However, I tried this with the equation balancer in this site and got a warning of "some compounds do not play role in the reaction and have 0 coeficients". Does this mean that my products are wrong? If they are, how do I get the right products for this reaction?

The reaction above has a 2nd part as well where I have to "discard" a precipitate and then add NaNO3 to the products of the previous reaction (without the precipitate). Given my previous attempt, I made an equation of KNO3 + HClO3 + NaNO3 =
So far, all my attempted products for the 2nd reaction have been "impossible reactions".

Does this mean that (KClO3 + HNO3 + AgNO3 = ) will not produce a product?
