Bismuth Ferrite Nanoparticle Synthesis

Post by CryBird »

Fe(NO3)3.9H20 + Bi(NO3)3.5H20 + HNO3 (dil.) = A + BY-PRODUCTS

A + C4H6O6 = B + BY-PRODUCTS

We dont have a crystal ball here. What is C4H6O6. Tartric acid?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bismuth_ferrite

Reaktion A make no sense, in aqueous solution nothing happens also the nitric acid make no sense.

As written in the link. Both salt can be melted by heat and get reaction to Ferrit.

4 Fe(NO3)3 * 9 H2O => 2 Fe2O3 + 36 H2O + 12 NO2 + 3O2

4 Bi(NO3)3 * 5 H2O => 2 Bi2O3 + 20 H2O + 12 NO2 + 3 O2

Bi2O3 + Fe2O3 => 2 BiFeO3
