Boron can react with fluoride gas to produce boron pentafluoride.
a) Write an equation for this reaction.

b) It is given that 5.6 grams of boron reacted. Calculate the moles of boron that
reacted.

It can not. Boron is only trivalent what means it can only react to Boron triflouride BF3.

2 B + 3 F2 => 2 BF3
