Hi, is there anyway or trick to differentiate E1, E2, SN1 and SN2 reaction. How to identify these reaction effectively?

Thanks. :D

Not really. It depends on the environment. E and SN take place in comparsion. Depending of substituents E1 or E2 and SN1 or SN2.

What happens if you treat CH2H5Br with NaOH.
And also (CH3)3CBr + NaOH

AYYAAYYA.

Its because first one is primary carbon and second one is tertiary?

Yes, I told the environment has influence. Also temperature, pressure, pH and the molecule itself, primary or sec. or tert. I and M effect of substituents and more.
For example cook ethanole with sulfuric acid. What products do you get. 3 possibilities. Which mechanism.
