Can someone Help me with this

Write the chemical equation and balance by REDOX.
Propyne + dil, Potassium Permanganate yields acetic acid + carbon dioxide + Potassium Hydroxide + Manganese dioxide
CH2C=CH + H2O + KMnO4 -> _____ + ______ + _______
Diol
Brown ppt.

Note: Oxidation (Baeyer's test for Unsaturation)
*Diluted KMnO4 solution will oxidize alkene
*Brown ppt MnO2 called diol

Something wrong, you cannot get an acid here acetic acid and an hydroxide here potassium hydroxide in same time. It will be neutralized to potassium acetate.

Reaction with alkene

Reaction with alkyne

https://courses.lumenlearning.com/suny- ... f-alkynes/

Reduction is MnO4- + 2 H2O + 3 e-=> MnO2 + 4 OH-

Oxidation CH3CCH + 9 OH- => CH3COO- + CO2 + 5 H2O + 8 e-

Combine these

Please use better headline HELP is not a good one

It is not generally wrong.
What do you get if you solve my proposal? Compare the two results.

In the given files they using H+ and OH- together for solving the equation. This is mathematicaly possible but not in reality. H+ can not exist with OH-. This will be water. At the end they get acetic acid and potassium hydroxide. This will be neutralized to potassium acetate.
