Hey there, I prepared yttrium hydroxide Y(OH)3 by using Yttrium nitrate hexahydrate Y(NO3)3.6H2O but I did not know the chemical reaction that took place. please help me. Thanks in advance.

I added Trisodium citrate and sodium hydroxide but as shape modifiers, since I am trying to prepare spherical yttrium hydroxide nanoparticles. In the end I got precipitate and I was characterized by XRD, it was what I want but I did not know the chemical reaction.

I dont know for what the citrate is for.

The reaction is Y(NO3)3 + 3 NaOH => Y(OH)3 + 3 NaNO3
