(NH₄)₃PO₄+ZnNO₃---->PO₄(NO₃)₃+Zn(NH₄)₃?

Post by aidl »

I'm confused on how to balance this equation, the calculator said the reaction was impossible, but I have no idea why, I did predict the products so I might have gotten it wrong, but I'm not sure, could someone help me?

I can’t be done because the reaction is a precipitate with excess Ammonium, because the Nitrate is condensed and would require the ZnNO3 to be Zn(NO3)3 to be balanced.

The whole equation is rubish. There is no product PO4( NO3)3 and Zn(NH4)3
The exchange is between Zn^2+ and NH4^+

So try again.
