Whats happening?

Post by Jamcroc »

I need some help because I dont know what happens in this reaction. I have to write a description for this reaction like what color the fluid get or why it have a specific color.
The reaction equation is: Co(CH3COO)2*4 H2O+ 4 KOCN → K2[Co(NCO)4]+ 4 H2O +2 K(CH3COO)
I only know that K2[Co(NCO)4] is a blue Precipitation after a cooling time.

It is a built up of a Cyanatocomplex with cobalt. Nothing special.
