Acids and bases (dissociation of citric acid)

Post by CarolBonilla »

Hi, I would like some help.
I need to do the dissociation of critic acid and I don't know how to do it well.
Citric acid is a triprotic acid, then it will dissociate in 3 phases.

C3H5O(COOH)3 → C3H4O(COOH) 3^- + H^+

No, the basic reaction is R-COOH => R-COO- + H+
This you have to develop 3 times.
