pregunta

Post by pasaco0129 »

Please use English

What would be the equation for the following problem?
A certain sample of carbon has 1.6% by mass of sulfur when the carbon is burned the sulfur is converted into sulfur dioxide. To avoid contamination the sulfur dioxide is treated with calcium oxide CaO to form calcium sulfite CaSO3. Calculate the mass of CaO in kilograms that a power plant needs daily that uses 6.60 x 10 6 Kg of coal per day.

1. Calculate the mass of sulfur using percentage math
2. Calculate the mole of sulfur
3. Develop the equation to get calcium sulfite
4. According the equation get the mole of CaO
5. Convert this to mass
