Please help me balance this equation

Post by smc32x »

I need help balancing this final reaction. Thank you

r1: 3Ca(NO3)2 + 3Cu(NO3)2 + 10CH4N2O → 3CaO∙3CuO + 10CO2 + 16N2 + 20H2O

r2:12SiC8H20O4 + 24H2O → 12SiO2 + 48C2H5OH

and r3 is the two above sumed

r3:3Ca(NO3)2 + 3Cu(NO3)2 + 10CH4N2O + 12SiC8H20O4 →(CaO∙CuO)∙SiO2 + CO2 + N2 + C2H5OH + H2O
[/code]

What is CH4N2O? Is it urea. It will never develop ethanol. The nitrate will oxidize it.
What is the silicon compound.

Yes this can decompose to Ethanol and silicon dioxide. But what has this to do with the first reaction? In combination The nitrates would also oxidize it.
