environmental chemistry :(

Post by nute »

I am looking at the insecticide acephate used in cotton production, which apparently decomposes with sunlight to form the more toxic insecticide Methamidophos. I need a balanced chemical equation for this... even if it is only partially correct, or a guess... because the chemistry of insecticides is way beyond my year 12 chemistry knowledge! D:
The unbalanced equation is... C4H10NO3PS = C2H8NO2PS

... I would really appreciate your help!!
