Help with chem problem

Post by chemstudent151 »

A mass of 13.02 g of (NH4)2SO4 is dissolved in water. After the solution is heated, 27.22 g of Al2 (SO4).*18 H2O is added. Calculate the theoretical yield of the resulting alum.

I know this forms ammonium alum: NH4Al(SO4)2*12 H2O

I don't know how to balance this equation to obtain the mole ratios needed to find the limiting reactant. Any help would be appreciated!
