Cannot be balanced.
Try without the hydroxide anion.

2 RH + CO3{2-} = 2 R{-} + CO2 + H2O
Try without the carboxic anion
Code: Select all
RH + OH{-} = R{-} + H2O
Conclude that you had a combination of reactions.
