Oxygen and Hydrogen and Fuel Cells

Post by chemrox »

Hi, I have some questions about hydrogen and oxygen:

1. Why is hydrogen and oxygen in liquid form better than in gaseous form in fuel cells? I understand this is to do with storage and transportation but is there also another reaosn?

2. What are safety concersn operation a hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell? don't the two gases just react to make water?

3. why is hydrogen and oxygen in liquid form not cost-effective? is this to do with cooling it down so that it is in liquid form? are there any other reasons?

4. hydrogen fuel cars vs hybrid cars, which is better?

5. advantages and disadvantages of fuel cells over conventional energy production

thanks for your help!
