Re: Condition of disharge sulfat anions on anode

If you want to obtain the metal, then a aqueous solution is sufficient. The sulfat will not be attacked. Its common way to do electrolysis. If you melt a chloride you get chlorine by electrolysis. But where do you get the hydrogen. This happens only also in an aqueous solution or you have to produce...

Re: Condition of disharge sulfat anions on anode

Use iron sulfate.

PS: For what purpose you need it?

Re: Condition of disharge sulfat anions on anode

Ammoniumsalts will decompose to ammonia and hydrogen. The anion reacts like above to peroxodissulfate.

Re: Chemistry

You cannot deposit copperoxide by electrolysis. This is only possible with copper itself.

Re: Chemistry

You cannot make Cu2O solution, because it is not soluble. If you create it, it will precipitate imidiatelly. Probably can make nano particles or spray version. Maybe Fehling solution could be used. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fehling%27s_solution Your solution can be made dissolve coppersulfat a...

Re: Condition of disharge sulfat anions on anode

Conc. sulfuric acid has an conductivity of 1,044 · 10−2 S/cm.

It has an autoprotolysis like water

2 H2SO4 => H3SO4+ + HSO4-

A sulfate salt enhance because more HSO4- is produced

H2SO4 + Na2SO4 => 2 NaHSO4

Re: Condition of disharge sulfat anions on anode

Water free sulfuric acid is like a melted sulfate. Alkalisulfates will stop at Peroxodisulfate, iron, chromium and others decompose to sulfuroxides.

Re: Condition of disharge sulfat anions on anode

Sulfate of Sulfuric acid will convert to peroxodisulfate, further to disulfate and sulfurtrioxide.

2 SO4 2-=> S2O8 2- + 2 e-

2 S2O8 2- => 2 S2O7 2- + O2

S2O7 2- => SO4 2- + SO3

Re: Condition of disharge sulfat anions on anode

No In diluted sulfuric acid or solution of sulfate salts, SO4 2- will be not discharged, instead of Oxygen will be developed. 2 H2O + 2 SO4 2- => 2 H2SO4 + O2 + 4e- In molten alkalisulfates peroxodisulfate will be created. Technical method to produce persulfates 2 SO4 2- => S2O8 + 2 e- https://en.m....

We dont give recommendations for food, pharmaceutical products.
We dont discuss to make this kind of things, because we dont know what impact it has to human body. It's a chemical forum and no medicinic forum.

Lead is poison. Need good ventilation or fume hood.

Next time please open a new thread. The topic in the head line has nothing to do with lead.
