Re: Possible products of the equation

ammusvijay wrote:KOH+KMnO4+Ca(NO3)2.4H2O+H2O+MnCl2=

This will guide to disproportion

MnO4- + 2 H2O + 3 e- => MnO2 + 4 OH-

Mn2+ + 4 OH- = > MnO2 + 2 H2O + 2 e-

All others are spectator ions.

Gold is existing as Au.

Electron configuration: [Xe] 4f 14 5d 10 6s 1

So there can only be Au+ and Au3+

You compound would suggest to have Au2+ , Au4+ and Au6+

Not existing.

Please also stop here the discussion about nonsense.

On your given link there not components like H2(NO3)2 or K2(NO3)2.
Beleave it this is not existing.

Existing is HNO3 and KNO3.

An please stopp this discussion now.

What is not clear. An iron-III solution is acidic in pH. So in small amount you will have HNO3, and this also will attack copper.

Fe3+ + H2O => FeOH2+ + H+

Again H2(NO3)2 is not existing and can also not bought. Show me a link of a shop who has it. :twisted:

Yes that is what I am saying. In your AuO2 it has 4 this is not existing.

Zour therorey doesnt work because you think to have AuO2. But this component is not existing on this planet, probably not in this universe.

Gold max oxidation number is +, what means Au2O3 and this is very unstable.

Its simple. Fe3+ + e- => Fe2+ Cu => Cu2+ +2 e- KGV is 2 2 Fe3+ + 2 e- => 2 Fe2+ Addition and eliminierung of electrons 2 Fe3+ + Cu => 2 Fe2+ + Cu2+ The Nitrat is normaly spectactor ion. Depending on pH it can also oxidies Cu and Fe2+ and will be reduced to NO. NO3- + 4 H+ + 3 e- => NO + 2 H2O

First there is no AuO2. Gold has max 3+ in oxidation number.

And hydrogen can also not developed.

And please dont write these nonse equations in future.
There is no balance and also no right components either right reactions.

Getting Au from what. Normally Au existing as element already. You have to clean it from the other stuff. normaly used Cyanide or mercury, very Poisson procedure. HCl cannot dissolve Au. But its able to dissolve other metals and their oxides.

This is to calculate molecular mass, but it doesn't show, if the compound is existing. You can type in what you want.
