Re: Equation Help
Ok I need help with this equation...I tried the online balancer but it kept coming out with negatives..Here's the equation Na2(CO3) + C2H4O2 =(arrow thing)= CO2 + Na(CO3) + H2O Thank you! This equation is impossible because Na(CO3) does not exists. You need NaC2H3O2 instead: Na2(CO3) + 2 C2H4O2 = C...

Re: mole
How does one measure Avogadro's number? In theory, one should count the atoms in 12g of C12... There are no necessity to count the atoms ... there are too many of them :) You may just measure the mass of one atom (there are several techniques to do that with big precision). Then calculate Avogadro'...

Re: Please tell me if this equation is right...
It's no right. It should be:goose660 wrote:HCl + Ba(OH)2 = BaCl2 + H3O
Is this right? How would you balance it?
HCl + Ba(OH)2 = BaCl2 + H2O
Try to balance it, it's an easy one.
If not sure click here:
balanced HCl + Ba(OH)2 = BaCl2 + H2O

Re: silver nitrate to make rain
Hello, I'm interested in knowing how dangerous is using silver nitrate to make rain. I would know why it's hazard for our health (because of toxicity, radioactivity...) and if manipulating this compound at laboratory has the same risk as using it to make rain. If it's possible, attaching some sourc...

Re: Iron Propionate preparation
How does one prepare iron propionate? Here are two ways: 1) Drying of an aqueous mixture of proprionic acid and a water soluble iron salt through use of a rotavap or vacuum centrifugation. 2) Chemisorption of propionic acid vapors by an iron impregnated MCM-41 porous silica leads to the formation o...

Shocking news: Google forces Chmoogle to change it's name
US trademark law and several key court decisions plainly state that our desired trademark, Chmoogle, almost certainly does not infringe on the Google® trademark. Sadly, we must report today that Google has forced us to change the Chmoogle web-site name. Might makes right, big money wins, and Google...

test for silver?
I have a piece of copper and it is suppose to contain silver.
Is there a simple way to find out if silver is present?
With a simple way I mean that I do not have laboratory equipment.
thanks!
