By blowing HBr through AgNO3 solution:

Code: Select all

AgNO3 + HBr = AgBr(s) + HNO3
and then weighing the AgBr sediment.

sarjan26_babu wrote:dear friend i am doing me.
i want to know this chemical reaction is correct or not
if this reaction is not correct means said correct reaction with balances
KNO3 + S + Al + BaNO3 = K2O + N2 + SO2 + Al2O3 + BaO
It is not correct!
BaNO3 is wrong, it should be Ba(NO3)2

Re: How do you complete a chemical equation and know what ki

How do you complete and balance a chemical equation and know what kind of reaction (dbl disp, singl disp, comb., etc.?) for instance, SO2 + H2O --> SO3 + H2O --> Ca+ H2O --> Bi(NO3)3 + H2S --> SO2 + H2O --> H2SO3 SO3 + H2O --> H2SO4 Ca+ 2 H2O --> Ca(OH)2 + H2 Bi(NO3)...

If a salt is formed by a strong acid and a weak base it's acidic.
If a salt is formed by a weak acid and a strong base it's basic.
For instance NaF is basic.

JamiePena wrote:How many grams of oxygen are in 4.15 moles V2O5?

Please explain how to get this.
1) Compute the umber of moles of oxygen:
n(O) = n(V2O5) * 5

2) Compute mass of oxigen:
m(O) = molar mass of oxygen * n(O)

For molar mass of oxygen use: http://www.webqc.org/mmcalc.php

JamiePena wrote:How many grams od silver contain the same number of atoms as 49.5g of gold?

Please explain how you got the anwser
1) Compute the number of moles of gold. n = 49.5g / (molar mass of gold)
2) Compute mass of silver n * (molar mass of silver)

Hope this helps :)
