Re: (NH₄)₃PO₄+ZnNO₃---->PO₄(NO₃)₃+Zn(NH₄)₃?

I can’t be done because the reaction is a precipitate with excess Ammonium, because the Nitrate is condensed and would require the ZnNO3 to be Zn(NO3)3 to be balanced.

Photosensitive reaction

Could a reaction be self sustaining with ample UV, 1 unit of NaH, 1 Unit NaCl, 2 units HCl all are anhydrous 1. NaCl + HCl = NaH + Cl2 2. NaH + HCl = NaCl + H2 3. H2 + Cl2 = 2 HCl Given that the last reaction is photosensitive with enough sunlight in a closed vessel could this reaction constantly re...

Re: Salt and vinegar and penny experiment full balanced

When the Acetic acid and Salt react they form Weak Hydrochloric acid which dissolves the Blue-Green Copper hydroxide leaving the New copper, vinegar is about 4-5% Acetic acid.

1. 2 CH3COOH + 2 NaCl = 2 HCl + 2 NaCH3COO
2. 2 HCl + Cu(OH)2 = 2 H2O & 2 CuCl

Alkali earth metals

Is there a defining characteristic of Alkaline earth metals and Alkali metals it seems that they are very similar but not grouped together what is the major difference between them? I mean they both are soft, reactive metals that produce Caustic hydroxides so what separates them?
