Nanoparticles synthesis

Im researching nanoparticles synthesis and I've some questions. By now I only know the turkevich method, I would like to know other methods to produce metal nanoparticles. And about the turkevic method, can it be applied to other metals besides gold and silver? and how can i measure the nanoparticles...

Thanks for the explanation, but why i can't use (12 x 96500)? i thought it was based on the balancing and not on just 1 mol of Al. Your results matched perfectly. :D edit: i guess i figured it out. when I do 135000 x 28800 x 27 / (12x96500) I'm saying that 1mol of Al is receiving 12mols of electrons...

Question about aluminium electrolysis (little complex)

First of all, I'm not a native english speaker, some terms maybe a little off Basically, my professor asked how much liters of oxigen are produced based on an aluminium electrolysis in an industrial process, this is the equation: 2Al2O3 = 4Al + 3O2 This electrolysis was done at 900Celsius, using gra...

Ok Buddy. Iron is able to have different oxidation numbers. Basically + 2 and +3 In the First experiment iron goes from 0 to +2 by adding an acid in this case acetic acid (vinegar). Fe + 2 H+ => Fe2+ + H2 In the second test he add peroxide an oxidizer The oxidation number change from +2 to + 3. 2 F...
