Never thought about thionating agent,i will try with phosphorous pentasulfide as I can't acces lawessons reagent.It should work but with longer preparation time and lower yield.Thanks.

So,which lewis acid to chose in adition of hydrogen sulfide to ketones
Eg. H2S+C3H6O=[(CH3)2CS]3+H2O
I have readen about TiCl4 but don't know if it's geometrical structure corresponds to this reaction.

I want to make nitric acid using KNO3 and concentrated H2SO4 so
if someone can answer me:which one of the reactions is happening and why?
KNO3+H2SO4=HNO3+KHSO4 or 2 KNO3+H2SO4=2 HNO3+K2SO4
