Re: Redox reactions

Redox Potentials are measured to hydrogen.
I-/I2 is positiv. 0,535 V
NO2-/ NO3- is also positiv 0,94 V

Elements are put in 1 .

Re: Acid sulfuric

The question is what you want to do with this water later on. The sulfuric is an technical one and contain impurities, which can disturb further reactions. Only to lower pH it will work, but 95% is to strong. I dont think you can react pH 5 by using drops, it will go down to 1 or 2. What is the volu...

Re: Redox reactions

We have two equations HNO2 + H2O => HNO3 + 2 H+ + 2e- 2 I- => I2 + 2 e- Nernst equation E1 = E0 + 0,059/2*log ( cHNO3 * c^2 H+ /c HNO2) E2 = E0 + 0,059/2 *log (cI2/c^2 I-) First equation cHNO3 = cHNO2 E1 = 0,94 +0,059/2 * log(c^2H+) pH = -log cH+ E1 = 0,94 - 0,059*pH Second equation E2 = 0,535 + 0,0...

Re: Complex Formation Equilibria

You need the complex building constant for CeY-.

Ce 3+ + Y 4- => CeY-

K = CeY-/(Ce 3+ *Y 4-)

pH dependency

Re: K3RhCl6

I would react the salt first with sulfuric acid, to get rid of the Chloride.
The remaining Rhodiumsulfate can be electrolysed. Cathode what ever you like. Anode carbon preferred.

Re: K3RhCl6

You can try electrolysis or reduction with strong reducer, like SnCl2 or v
Ascorbic acid.

Re: Redox reactions and standard electrode potentials

All compounds who has lower potential as - 0.029V will work as reducer, what means triiodide will work as oxidiser in this case.
ie, in combination with hydrogen, the triiodide ion will be a reducing agent...). Am I right?
No, it is opposit. 0V is more positive as - 0.029V

Re: Biochemical properties of piruvic acid

You mixed it up. A physician is a doctor for medicine. What you mean is a physisit, who work with physics

So we don't give recomandation for medicine or application, and also not for making bombs or other pyro stuff, like molotov, etc.
Its forbidden to post here.

Re: Biochemical properties of piruvic acid

Pyruvic acid can be made from glucose through glycolysis, converted back to carbohydrates (such as glucose) via gluconeogenesis, or converted to fatty acids through a reaction with acetyl-CoA. It can also be used to construct the amino acid alanine and can be converted into ethanol or lactic acid vi...

Al2(SO4)3 + 3 Ba(OH)2 => 3 BaSO4 + 2 Al(OH)3 2 AlCl3 + 3 Ba(OH)2 => 3 BaCl2 + 2 Al(OH)3 Aluminiumsulfate will give a precipitate of BaSO4 and Aluminiumhydroxid, Aluminiumchlorid will only give a precipitate of Aluminiumhydroxide. In the first equation correspond x Ba(OH)2 to x *2/3 Al(OH)3 and to x ...

Re: How to make Sodium hydroxymethanesulfonate

You mix equimolar amount of bisulfite powder and formaldehyde. Let it crystallize under a good ventilated hood.

NaHSO3 + CH2O => HOCH2- SO3 Na

It can be produced also as byproduct from Dithionite
