3. Calculate the mole of 45 ml H2 ( ideal gas law) and read how much Mg correspond.
4. Calculate mass of Mg
5. Do the same for HCl, use some excess of it.
5. This amount you put in a Apparatus to collect gases.

For this have to know the built up of the cell.Because all reaction were oxidations. Where is the reduction. Probably 2H+ + 2 e- => H2
K+ will be not touched.

If it is a rechable cell then the reactions must be reversible.

Co3O4 is Co2O3 * CoO Cobalt- II/III-Oxide In first step CoO will be oxidised to CoOOH CoO + OH- => CoOOH + e- The Co2O3 reacts with water to the same product. Co2O3 + H2O => 2 CoOOH In Addition we have Co3O4+ OH- + H2O = 3 CoOOH+e- The next Oxidation goes to Co-IV CoOOH + OH- => CoO2 + H2O+ e-

Please don't write nonsense. KOH and H2SO4 will neutralize each other. What you have to do here is separate the equations One is to dissolve aluminium in suluric acid or pottasium hydroxide. The redox potential of a half reaction is measured to the hydrogen electrode. So it doesn't matter if you look Ti 3+ + 3 e- => Ti or Ti => Ti 3+ + 3 e- . The voltage of 2 H+ +2 e- => H2 or H2 => 2 H+ +2 e- is 0 V and the difference between both reaction is - 1,26 V. Also in your postings it's given ...

Oxidation and Reduction is mixed up. Also for both voltages the same reaction is used. There is no reaction Ti 2+ to Ti 3 +.
