What about this

C6H12O6 + O2 + NH3 => C5H7NO2 + CO2 + 4 H2O

Re: Equation balance help

The balanced equation is still wrong.
Left 30 C, 78 H, 30 O, 6 N Right 31 C 78 H, O 32 ,6 N
You forget to count the CO2

The RQ = V(CO2)/V(O2)

Re: pregunta

First you burn sulfur.
Develop this equation first

Then you add calciumoxide

The product react with it.

Carbon is not necessary here.

Re: pregunta

Please use English What would be the equation for the following problem? A certain sample of carbon has 1.6% by mass of sulfur when the carbon is burned the sulfur is converted into sulfur dioxide. To avoid contamination the sulfur dioxide is treated with calcium oxide CaO to form calcium sulfite Ca...

Re: Why is my answer wrong?

Yours is also balanced on paper, but your compound is not existing, that is the problem. Nitrogen has -3, two of them -6 .Calcium is +2. So how many Calcium you need?

To give only the sum formula, it doesn't help.

Tell us from each component its name.
