please help me w/ this 2 problems, thanks!

Q1: Explain why the name for MgCl2 is magnesium chloride but the name for CuCl2 is copper (II) chloride.

Q2: Does the fact that two elements combine in a one-to-one atomic ratio means that the charges on their ions are both 1? Explain.

Q1: Becuse there are different copper chlorides.

Q2: No, that only means that they have the same absolute values of charges.
