The problem is in an incorrect writing of a chemical formula:
This is your version: NaCI + F2 = NaF + Cl2
This is the correct version: NaCl + F2 = NaF + Cl2
Both reactions look similar but the first will not balance while the second will. Guess what's the difference?

Not so. Try putting the following equations into the balancerhttp://www.webqc.org/balance.php
First version: NaCI + F2 = NaF + Cl2
Seond version: NaCl + F2 = NaF + Cl2

The first is showing an error, but the second does work!
Guess why?
