elements in sulfuric acid

i really need some help on my homework.

this is what it shows me.

sulfuric acid --> ______ + ______ + _______
decomposition into its elements

is it supposed to be hydrogen + sulfur + oxygen?

You're supposed to fill in the blanks with the three elements that compose this molecule, so you'll get:

sulfuric acid --> 2 H + S + 4 O

Except H2SO4 never decomposes to elements. I think your task is not exactly correct
Remember safety first! Check MSDS and consult with professionals before performing risky experiments.
