balancing word problem- stoichiometry

Post by POBO84437 »

The question I'm working on is "What mass of sulfuric acid, H2SO4, is required to react with 1.27 g of potassium hydroxide, KOH? The products of this reaction are potassium sulfate and water."
I'm not asking for the answer or anything, but I don't know how to write the equation or how to balance it.

Hey
You equation would be

Code: Select all

2 KOH + H2SO4 = K2SO4 + 2 H2O
hope that helps,
