I am doing a lab write up for my college chem class; the lab was on titration of NaOH into generic and none generic vinigars to see the differance in acetic acid content... I need a balenced equation to do the calculations, but I'm unsure of the products.
this is what I have:
NaOH + CH3CHOOH = NaC2OH +2H2O
The auto balencer says thats impossible...why wouldn't that be possible?!
any help would be appretiated, thank you!
Because CH3COOH is the formula for acetic acid and secondly the priduct is litle differnt. well here is wut you are supposed to be havingg
NaOH + CH3COOH = CH3COONa + H2O
