limiting reagents

Post by confused@chem »

I am just wanting to verify if I am right or wrong here...the question is as follows:
When 22.0g NaCl and 21.0g H2SO4 are mixed and react according to the equation below, which is the limiting reagent?
2NaCl + H2SO4--> Na2SO4 + 2HCl

So in my interpretation I got 22.0g NaCl divided by 58.42g = 0.3766g/mol
and 21.0g H2SO4 divided by 98.086g = 0.2141g/mol
So with these calculations I think that H2SO4 is the limiting reagent...is that right?

You need also divide by the stoichiometry coefficient!
-> and NaCl will be the limiting reagent.
