Graduate? College?
Inorganic: Greenwood+Earnshaw: Chemistry of elements
Organic: McMurry: Organic chemistry.
both are pretty good and cover required topics pretty good IMO

Topic: how to calculate partial pressures of isooctane and oxygen
Replies: 1

well total pressure = partial pressure of O2 + partial pressure of isooctane and it depends on mole fraction of given gas.
lets say total pressure is
100 Pa and you have 1 mole of O2 and 4 moles of isooctane so
p(o2)=100/5 = 20 Pa p(isooctane)=100/5*5=80 Pa

or by mixing solutions of (NH4)2SO4 and Al2(SO4)3
-dissolve the sulfates in least amount of water at higher temperature, mix the solutions and let it cool and crystalize

its
2C8H18 + 17O2 = 16CO + 18H2O
another option is:
2C8H18 + 25O2 = 16CO2 + 18H2O

That doesnt have to be true. Gas powered cars were epxensive too, some years ago - only the rich had one - but because of mass production they got cheaper. I think it will be same with hydrogen cars

well its hard to say what is organic and what is inorganic, for example at my school at department of inorganic chemistry the most of the work done there are metal complexes with organic ligans (mostly). Organic chemistry usualy consists of molecules with C-C bond, but I think its only matter of per...

I dont understand exactly what are you asking... Are you asking for general rules how to balance equations or is it something else? eg- "Double sulfur electrons?" what do you mean by this?
Sry english is not my native language.

Fluorine is negative compared to cesium. Fluorine gives electrons to cesium. Cesium's positive charge is reduced, fluorine is oxidized. im sorry you are wrong. Oxidation is giving electrons away not taking them. Fluorine has electronegativity around 4.0 and cessium around 0.7, its not possible for ...

Did you try it at least? Seems that most ppl here dont even try to solve those homeworks - no offence. anyway: 1) i+ii) count amount of moles of nitrogene and then you can calculate amount of moles of hydrogen needed and amount of amona created - iii) what fertilizer exactly? NH4NO3? write an equati...

You cannot tutn oxygen to gold by chemical means, your only hope is to bombard oxygen atom with helium atoms and hope that it will turn to heavier atoms. However there is 71 elements between oxygen and gold, including 4 noble gases. So If I remememer corectly, you would need 18 transformations to ge...

69.8 grams

you have 22.6 / (8*12 + 18 ) = 0.198 moles of C8H18 and from the equation the amount of moles of CO2 is 8times higher so in the end you have
8 * 0.198 moles of CO2 which is 1.58 mole.
1.58 * (12+32) = 69.8g

because you cant have AsO1.5. Hm i dont know how to explain it exactly.. all stechiometric coeficients has to be integers (number with no numbers after decimal point, im not sure about english terminology in maths so.. hope you understand) AFAIK. So just your numbers As = 75.8/74.9 = 1 O = 24.1/16 =...
