If you meant just SO4, you'll get H2O2 instead of water with 2 moles of caustic soda

2 NaOH + SO4 ------- Na2SO4 + H2O2

Re: NaOH + SO4

Yes. This is a neutralization process, where an acid and a base form a salt and water. I think you meant H2SO4 instead of SO4. This reaction is produced at room temperature. At first you will get the acid salt and then it'll be produced the neutral salt by heating. You will see some bubbling. At that...

inner transition elements

People, I am looking for some information about the economical importance of inner transition elements, atomic energy and which are the main countries who have this kind of industry. I know my country doesn't have much importance about this, but please, if you know whether CNEA (Argentina) has parti...

Re: limiting reagent and % yield

I am pretty sure this means by heating wood without air methanol (CH3OH) is made by reacting carbon monoxide and hydrogen at high pressure. Now I can't figure out these three questions: if 25.0 g of CO is reacted with 6.0 g of H2, which is the limiting reagent? How many grams of CH3OH can be made fr...

Re: Equations to balance

Here you have them balanced: Al(OH)3(aq) + 3 HNO3(aq) ---- Al(NO3)3(aq) + 3 H2O(1) 3 AgNO3(aq) + 3 FeCl3(aq) -- 3 AgCl(s) + Fe(NO3)3 (aq) (NH4)2Cr2O7(s) ---Cr2O3(s) + 4 H2O(g) + N2(g) Mn2 (CO3)3(s) --- Mn2O3(s) + 3 CO 2(g) The first, the second and the last ones can be balanced "by eye" as...

This is not a chemical reaction. The Al(NO3)3 and the water forms a solution (Sc Aq Al(NO3)3) You're supposed to find the salt mass that will be needed to prepair the solution (% mass by mass, molarity, molality, etc.)

The ionization for that reaction is the following:

Ni(OH)2 + 2 HCl = NiCl2 + 2 H2O
(Ni2+) + 2 (OH-) + (H+) + (Cl-) = (Ni2+) + 2 (Cl-) + 2 H2O

This is a neutralization between an acid and a base. I hope this explaination to help you.

answer your question

Sorry, but your answer isn't right. You have to make the Lavoisier law, calculating the atomic masses of the reactives and the products. The results for the reactives and products have to be the same number. Then you make the calculation for iron mass obtained in the reaction. I obtained 7 times 10^...

Yes. There are many books you can consult on the internet. I cannot find the web page, but if you just put the link in google, you may find someone.
You're welcome! David.
